Two men arrested after Monday morning drug raids

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne Police say they arrested two people Monday morning after two warrant searches turned up drugs including fentanyl, as well as guns.

Just before 7 a.m., members of the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Vice and Narcotics Division and Emergency Services Team served a search warrant at 2509 Winch St. and 2109 Shadybrook Dr. Undercover Detectives made previous purchases of Fentanyl from Antione Burnett. Those purchases combined with surveillance on Burnett gave the Narcotics division the necessary information to file charges on Antione Burnett and obtain a search warrant for 2509 Winch St. and 2109 Shadybrook Dr.

Upon serving the search warrant at 2509 Winch St., Detectives found a total of 10.7 grams of a green leafy substance which field tested positive for THC, 6.2 grams of fentanyl, miscellaneous packaging, ammunition, and $1198 in U.S. currency and a .45 caliber handgun.

After serving the search warrant at 2109 Shadybrook Dr., Detectives found a total of 24 grams of marijuana, Additional items found were a shotgun, a 22 caliber handgun and a .38 caliber handgun and numerous scales and ammunition and packaging.

Carl and Antione Burnett were arrested in connection. Both men are being held on a charge of Possession of Marijuana/Hashish A misdemeanor. While Antione Burnett is also facing charges of Dealing Cocaine or Narcotic Drug Level 4 felony.
This is still an ongoing investigation with the Narcotics Division.
