INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The winter storm that hit Indiana yesterday included thundersnow.
The rare phenomenon is from heavy snow bands with a small amount of instability.
That can cause thunder and lightning, with the first lightning strike happening in Johnson County just before 8:15 a.m.
A second lightning strike happened in Elwood around 9:30 a.m.
