School bus, semi collide in Warsaw

WARSAW, Ind. (ADAMS) – A school bus carrying high school hockey players from Chicago was in a Saturday night crash with a semi-truck on US-30 near East Center Street in Warsaw.

All 23 students between 14 and 17 years old are in stable condition. The 58-year-old semi-driver, Victor Santos of New York, is in custody after he failed a field sobriety test.

The team was headed to their hotel after a tournament in Culver. Kosciusko County dispatch had received calls about the semi swerving and speeding a few minutes before the crash.
