WASHINGTON D.C. (ADAMS) – President Biden is working at aiding small businesses during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. His administration is changing the Paycheck Protection Program to help minority and tiny businesses in low-income areas that haven’t secured assistance. Biden said they are working to make sure “every dollar is spent well.”
Small businesses with less than 20 employees can start applying on Wednesday during a two-week-long period.

He also made another pitch for lawmakers to approve the large relief proposal. Biden addressed GOP critics and argued they need to “act big and act quickly.”
President Biden’s COVID stimulus proposal is approaching a House vote. The body could decide later this week on the nearly $2 trillion bill that has $1,400 payments for most Americans in it.
Some GOP lawmakers believe the bill is too focused on relief checks being given to people that have “experienced little or no financial loss.”
