WASHINGTON D.C. (ADAMS) – Vice President Mike Pence is trekking back to Indiana on Wednesday. NBC News reports Pence will fly to Columbus in the afternoon following President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.
Indiana Republicans said he’s expected to “thank friends and longtime supporters” after his role as vice president is complete.
Pence tweeted a thank you to America on Tuesday, calling it an honor and privilege to serve as VP.
NBC reported earlier that Pence wasn’t expected to be at President Trump’s sendoff at Joint Base Andrews.
Thank you for the privilege of serving as your Vice President these past four years, it has been the greatest honor of my life. On behalf of our Wonderful Second Lady, Karen Pence, and our entire Family, Thank You and God Bless America. 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/chbcBfvmB9
