Partisan school board races under consideration

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – State lawmakers are deciding on a bill that would let school board candidates pick a political party on the ballot.

A hearing has been held for Senate Bill 188, which was also discussed last year in a state House hearing, but no one testified in support then.

Supporters and opponents both testified this week in the Senate Elections committee hearing. Zionsville parent Kristen Hoerr says the races are already partisan and declaring a party will give voters better clarity.
