Heads up for a new traffic signal at US 30 and Flaugh Road

ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Transportation says that a new traffic signal is in place at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Flaugh Road.

A study submitted to INDOT showed that the projected traffic volumes at the new Amazon distribution center warranted a traffic signal.

Along with the new signal, crews also installed “signal ahead” warning signs as well as buzz strips to help alert drivers of the upcoming traffic signal.

INDOT encourages drivers to use extra caution in the area as motorists adjust to the new signal.

From INDOT:

The U.S. 30 and Flaugh Road intersection is part of the U.S. 30 Corridor Study. The recommended alternative for the intersection is currently an interchange. Plans for the project are still in development with public involvement ongoing. Letting for the project is expected to take place by the end of 2024. Should the interchange alternative be selected for this intersection, the traffic signal would be removed upon completion.
