NBA says 16 players have tested positive for COVID-19

NEW YORK CITY (ADAMS) – The NBA says 16 players tested positive in the first round of coronavirus testing.

The league and the National Basketball Players Association said today 302 players have been tested since teams started mandatory testing this week.

Denver’s Nikola Jokic, Indiana’s Malcolm Brogdon and Sacramento’s Jabari Parker were among those testing positive.

The league and the union say the 16 will remain in self-isolation according to public health protocols and each one is cleared by a physician. The NBA plans to restart its season in Orlando, Florida next month.
