COLUMBUS, Ohio (ADAMS) – The Ohio National Guard says a soldier who had been missing since October has been found alive.
Officials confirmed yesterday that Specialist Michaela Nelson was located in Columbus by her father and had apparently been living out of her car.
Nelson’s family and the Guard’s recruit sustainment program in Dayton lost contact with her on October 26th, and a missing person’s report was filed with the Columbus Police in early November.
Nelson joined the Ohio National Guard in 2020 and had recently returned from training in South Carolina before her disappearance.
