CAMP ATTERBURY, Ind. (ADAMS) – We’re getting our first look inside Indiana’s home for Afghan refugees. Indiana National Guard commanders yesterday offered reporters a tour of Camp Atterbury.
There are nearly 7,000 Afghans living at the base, though no one is sure for how long.
Doctors say they’ve vaccinated almost everyone for the coronavirus and other diseases.
The refugees have settled into barracks that have become like small neighborhoods. The next step is to process the refugees and find them new homes.
