Indiana House advances proposal to end gun permits

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Lawmakers at the Capitol in Indianapolis are trying again for a constitutional carry plan. The Indiana House approved a piece of legislation that would end the need for gun permits in the state.

As long as someone can legally buy a gun, the plan would allow them to carry that gun.

A number of law enforcement groups oppose the idea. Lawmakers failed to find enough support for a similar plan last year.
