Governor Holcomb says schools need to be safer

UPDATE (March 30, 2023):

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb says efforts to make schools “the safest place on planet Earth” need to continue after the shooting in Nashville, Tennessee this week.

Holcomb says he read the shooter looked at several schools and did not go into one because she deemed it “too secure.”

He says vigilance needs to continue.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Hoosiers are asked to fly flags at half-staff in honor and remembrance of the school shooting victims in Nashville.

Governor Holcomb announced the orders Tuesday.

Flags should be flown at half-staff until sunset on Friday.

Monday’s shooting claimed the lives of three children and three staff members at a private school in Tennessee.
