INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Governor Eric Holcomb says Indiana will stay in Stage Five of reopening from coronavirus closures for at least another month.
The state’s mask mandate will continue through at least November 14th as well. Holcomb said the state has not seen this level of spread since the spring. Holcomb said the positivity rate jumped from 4% to 5.3%.
Three weeks ago, Holcomb rolled back most of the state’s restrictions on businesses and crowd sizes, and since then there has been a large surge in COVID-19 cases.
The governor says this is not the time to ‘wave the checkered flag.’ He said people need to continue to wear their masks and continue to socially distance.
