Here’s What to Watch This Weekend

New TV:

Friday, March 17 – Sunday, March 19, 2023

• The first round of “NCAA March Madness” continues today, with the second round played out tomorrow and Sunday.  The games will air throughout the weekend on CBS, TruTV and TNT.  (Full Schedule)

• Friday on Netflix:  The series premiere of the animated spy series “Agent Elvis”, starring Matthew McConaughey as Elvis.

• Friday at 9:00 p.m. on Starz:  The third season premiere of “Power Book II: Ghost”.

• Friday on Amazon:  The series premiere of “Class of ’07”, an Australian dramatic comedy about an apocalyptic flood hits the 10-year reunion of an all-girls school and strands a bunch of angry women with each other.

• Friday on Apple TV+:  The series premiere of “Extrapolations”, covering eight stories about what the future turns out like if the chaotic effects of climate change are left unchecked.  (Trailer)

The all-star cast includes Meryl Streep, Daveed Diggs, Ed Norton, Yara Shahidi, Kit Harington, Gemma Chan, Tobey Maguire, Keri Russell, David Schwimmer, and Forest Whitaker, to name a few.

• Friday on Hulu:  “The Boston Strangler”, a true-crime thriller starring Keira Knightley and Carrie Coon as two reporters trying to break the story on the Boston Stranger serial killer who murdered 13 women back in the 1960s.  (Trailer)

• Friday on Netflix:  The series premiere of “Dance 100”, a dance competition where eight choreographers create complex routines for a chance at a $100,000 prize, with the dancers also acting as their judges.  (Trailer)

• Friday on Amazon:  The second season finale of “Carnival Row”.

• Friday on Amazon:  The series premiere of “Swarm”, a horror thriller about a woman’s obsession with her favorite pop star.  It was created by Donald Glover and stars Dominique Fishback.  The rest of the cast includes Chloe Bailey, Damson Idris, Paris Jackson, Kiersey Clemons, and Billie Eilish.  (Trailer)
