CDC: 8,000 reports of side effects from Indiana vaccines

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The overwhelming majority of people who get the coronavirus shot feel fine afterward. The CDC yesterday said 8,000 people in Indiana, however, have complained of side effects.

The most common side effects are headaches, chills, and a fever. Those are also the symptoms of the coronavirus. On Wednesday, the State Department of Health reported that 1.4 million people in the state have gotten both doses of the vaccine so, the 8,000 reports of side effects are a very small number.

On Wednesday, the department also reported new positives. Doctors say 1,200 people tested positive for the virus.
That compares that to nearly 30,000 people who got the second vaccine dose that same day.
