INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Governor Mike Braun is unveiling a new initiative called “Make Indiana Healthy Again”.
Braun was joined by U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz for the announcement Tuesday.
Governor Braun signed nine executive orders to launch the program. The executive orders include measures to prevent SNAP benefits from being used to buy candy and soda, reinstate income and asset verification for SNAP recipients, establish a Governor’s Fitness Test and School Fitness Month, and launch some health-related studies.
