INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – State lawmakers want to make changes to road funding.
The Indiana Department of Transportation is recommending spending $1.3 billion a year in the next decade on road and bridge improvements and has offered over a dozen ways to raise the money.
Lawmakers don’t want to continue raising gasoline excise taxes, with Senator Michael Crider of Greenfield saying that is outdated and “not effective long term.”
