FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Do you have old tires taking up space?
You can get rid of them this weekend at a recycling event hosted by ACDEM and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
The following was released:
Join us for the Tire Recycling Event, exclusively for Allen County residents, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the former International Harvester facility, located at 2911 Meyer Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46803. Minimum fees apply; we accept cash and check only.
This event provides a convenient and affordable opportunity for residents to dispose of unwanted car, truck and bicycle tires in an environmentally responsible way.
What to Bring:
Car, truck and bicycle tires (must be de-rimmed, dry and free of debris)
What Not to Bring:
Tractor and semi-truck tires
Tires from businesses
Cost:
The first four tires are FREE!
5-12 Tires = $1 per tire
13-25 Tires = $5 per tire
Limit 25 tires per resident
Cash and check will be accepted
This tire recycling program is made possible through ACDEM and Indiana Department of Environmental Management’s Waste Tire Management Grant. Together, we can make a difference—one tire at a time!
