HUNTINGTON CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – INDOT says that there will soon be alternating closures of U.S. 24 for bridge deck overlays over Cow Creek in Roanoke.
Crews will begin working between E 900 N and 2nd Street on or after April 29. Work on the eastbound side of U.S. 24 will take place first and is expected to last approximately one month. Once work on the eastbound side is complete, crews will switch to the westbound side. Work on the project is expected to be complete by the end of June. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
During the closure, drivers should use the approved detour of State Road 9 and State Road 114, or seek an alternate route.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when traveling in and around all work zones.
