HUNTINGTON CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Huntington County Coroner’s Office will perform an autopsy on 69-year-old Robert Smith following his death after they say he may have had a medical emergency Sunday in the Salamonie Reservoir.
Smith’s boat began taking on water and other boaters threw him a flotation device, and he started to struggle while being pulled to the rescuers’ boat.
When he was pulled up, he was not breathing and was unconscious, and was pronounced dead at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
